We were thrilled to partner with RotoruaNZ to bring their bold vision to life for the TRENZ Celebration Dinner, held at the Skyline Skyrides Rotorua. Drawing inspiration from the powerful Māori legend of Ngātoroirangi and his sisters Te Hoata and Te Pupu, the creative concept was built around the dramatic elemental contrast of Fire and Ice.
Guests began their journey at the Skyline bottom terminal, greeted by a crisp, ethereal landscape. Our lycra tunnel framed by our enchanting willow trees and a striking 10-metre white carpet set the tone, evoking the cool elegance of ice. The experience only intensified as they boarded the gondola and ascended through the mist.
At the top terminal, the icy aesthetic continued with a touch of luxury. A pristine white champagne wall, our signature lycra arches accented with white foil lamps, and ambient icy blue lighting created a stunning atmosphere.
But the real drama unfolded as guests moved into the restaurant – stepping from ice into fire. A vibrant sea of red instantly shifted the mood. The space came alive with red bar leaners, rich velvet and sparkling sequin tablecloths, glowing and moving flame boxes, and striking red centrepieces – a powerful homage to the volcanic heat summoned by Ngātoroirangi’s call to his sisters.
The event was not just a dinner – it was a storytelling experience, brought to life through immersive design and meticulous detail. A true celebration of culture, legend, and unforgettable hospitality.
